Windows Server Active Directory and Group Policy setup course. In this course, we will work with various tools and features of Windows Active Directory Server. First, we install both the client and the server and then prepare them, which includes turning off the firewall on both, setting the client and server network to private mode, correct IP settings, suitable hostname for both, and pinging them from each other. Then we install Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) on the server and upgrade it to a domain controller. Using the Advanced Naming tab, we connect the client to the server and add a domain user that can be used to log in to the client. Organizational information can also be added in Active Directory domain user accounts and even their line manager and job title. We create a folder share for each user group so that they only have access to their share, and we think about their file permissions and access according to their role.
