Quantum Computing course: Theory to Simulation and Programming. This course teaches the basic principles of quantum computing, including the basics of quantum physics and quantum simulations. This course is divided into four modules.
Fundamentals of Quantum Computing: This section begins with an introduction to the fascinating world of quantum computing. A comparison between classical computer and quantum computer is presented.
Quantum Physics Section: This section introduces the very small world of physical phenomena that support quantum computers. Concepts such as superposition, quantum entanglement, and quantum tunneling are covered in this section. Quantum physics has a strong connection with mathematics. In this section, quantum phenomena are explained without using complex mathematical terms to develop a good understanding of the fundamental concepts.
Cirq: This section deals with using Google’s Cirq framework in Python to design quantum circuits. An emulator called Quirk is also used, which uses silicon hardware to simulate a quantum processor.
Dwave Leap: This section includes signing up for the Dwave-Leap service, which allows anyone to solve real-world problems using a real quantum computer. This quantum annealer will also be used to solve a graph optimization problem.
Combinatorial Optimization: This section deals with a fundamental concept in the field of combinatorial optimization called quadratic unconstrained binary optimization (QUBO). QUBO is used to formulate and solve problems such as NOT gate simulation in a quantum computer.
