CIE International A-Level Maths: Probability & Statistics 2 course. This course covers all the material required for the Cambridge International A-Level Maths exam, especially Probability and Statistics 2 (Paper 6). If you are new to the concepts of probability and statistics, this course is a great place to start. This course is designed for adults. This course is designed for people studying the Cambridge Maths A-Level International Curriculum and not the UK Curriculum (which is covered by Edexcel, OCR, AQA and MEI exam boards).

What you will learn in this course:

Videos: In these videos, I explain each topic thoroughly, introduce all the key ideas, and then go through various examples that cover all the important ideas of each topic. In these videos, I also show you the most common mistakes and misconceptions to avoid.
Tests: After each section, a short test is provided for you to measure your understanding of the material. Most of the exam questions are taken from previous A-Level exams. If you have problems in these tests, you can ask me for help.
Hypothesis Testing: We learn how to use statistical hypothesis tests to determine whether there is enough evidence to change our beliefs.
Poisson distribution: We will learn about the Poisson distribution, learn how to calculate probability using it, and examine its relationship with binomial and normal distributions.
Linear Combination of Random Variables: We learn how to combine random variables (for example addition or subtraction) and examine their relationship to other distributions.
Continuous Random Variables: Learn how to work with any continuous random variable, calculate probabilities, medians, mathematical expectation, and variance.
Sampling: We learn about random sampling, the distribution of sample means, and the central limit theorem.
Estimation: We learn about unbiased estimates of the population mean and variance, and learn how to perform hypothesis tests for population means, as well as confidence intervals for means and proportions.
Worksheets: At the end of each chapter, I have prepared different sets of questions from previous A-Level exams for you to review all the material at once and test yourself. At the end of each worksheet is a complete answer sheet so you can see how well you did.
