Description

LARS Bridge CONNECT Edition is one of Bentley’s design and engineering software. This software is used to model and analyze the most common types of bridges, which with a very easy-to-use graphical interface, enables bridge and structural engineers to enter and calculate all the bridge data needed for load rating analysis more quickly and efficiently. The analytical engine of this software displays various types of analysis of the generated results, including instantaneous and shear coverage of the available capacity for live load, real live load plus impact, dead load and superimposed dead load. Engineers can also get multiple reports, tabular, detailed, and summary reports from the results.

LARS Bridge is also an AASHTO approved load rating engine and will enable you to connect directly to the AASHTO BRIDGEWare database. This software has the ability to be directly integrated with routing and licensing software.

Bentley does not support its software running on Microsoft operating systems versions that Microsoft has “retired”.

Software Prerequisites:

The Prerequisites for Bentley Desktop Applications are automatically downloaded and installed to your workstation while you install ProStructures. The contents of the Prerequisites for Bentley Desktop Applications include:

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2.

Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications core.

Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications localized.

Internet Explorer, minimum v11.0, with 128-bit cipher strength. Microsoft no longer supports any versions prior to v11.0. Internet Explorer is not installed as part of the product pre-requisites.

Minimum Profile

Processor: ntel® or AMD® processor 2.0 GHz or greater. OpenBridge Modeler is not supported on a CPU that does not support SSE2.

Memory: 8 GB minimum, 32 GB recommended. More memory almost always improves performance, particularly when working with larger models.

Hard Disk: 20 GB free disk space (which includes the 12 GB install footprint for a complete installation).

Video: See the graphics card manufacturer for latest information on DirectX drivers. 1 GB of video RAM or higher is recommended. If insufficient video RAM or no graphics card supported by DirectX can be found, OpenBridge Modeler attempts to use software emulation. For optimal performance, graphics display color depth should be set to 24-bit or higher. When using a color depth setting of 16-bit, some inconsistencies will be noted.
