Description
FRANC3D is a three-dimensional crack growth simulation software designed in engineering structures in which the geometry components, local loading conditions, and crack evolutionary geometry can be arbitrarily complex.
Features and features of FRANC3D software:
- Based on finite element method
- Major FE solver interface such as: ANSYS, ABAQUS, NX / NASTRAN, and MSC / NASTRAN
- Hole support for limited volume and zero crack volume
- Supports a variety of cracks (elliptical, through thickness and 1)

- Graphical user interface includes several wizards and dialogs for placing cracks, crack growth and analysis
- Mesh adaptation is a limited element model to simulate crack growth
- The mesh smoothing algorithm is used to improve the quality of the element
- Stress intensity factors can be calculated for both homogeneous and heterogeneous materials to change temperature and crack traction or contact pressure.
- Calculate the stress intensity factors associated with all three fracture states along with the knot points along with the cracks
- Stress intensity factors are stored in the FRANC3D database for each crack
- Supports several options for calculating the angle of torsion and expanding the relative gap
- Use a polynomial curve to fit the cracks
- Fully automatic crack growth trend including uneven crack growth and ability to monitor crack growth and check results using post-processing module in FRANC3D
- Provide a Python-based user interface to automatically perform repetitive tasks and a strategy for FRANC3D with other computing programs.
