The ARM DS-5 is a complete set of C + C ++ programming tools that make it much easier to write programs for SoCs or programmable chips. The SoC or System on chip is actually a complete small-scale computer. This program is offered for a special category of SoCs based on ARM processors, which are more widely used in this type of system due to low power consumption. In this system, various computer components such as processor, RAM, inputs and outputs are located on a chip that developers connect to different chip bases through product datasheets and program it. SoCs are commonly used in the design of embedded or embedded systems that require cost savings and high processing speeds. This program was replaced by ARM Development Studio.
Although the required code of this program can be written with Notepad, but in complex programs, this editor will not have the necessary efficiency. With DS-5 you can code, debug, debug and trace the program much more easily and intelligently to get to the root of the problem. This editor has an advanced syntax highlighter that makes coding very easy. It is easier to use external libraries in this environment. Transferring the program to the chip is as simple as one click. ARM DS-5 graphical environment allows programmers to have better control over the project. All project-related files are collected in one integrated location, just a click away. Each file opens in a separate tab, making it easier to open and review multiple documents simultaneously.
ARM Development Studio is an alternative to ARM DS-5, which combines the features of this software with Keil MDK to provide you with the best features and capabilities in both areas. Multi-core comparability and enhanced productivity with the help of CMSIS are among the features of this software.
To install and use Arm Development Studio, your workstation must have at least:
To improve performance, Arm recommends a minimum of 4GB of RAM when you:
Arm Development Studio supports the following host platforms:
Note:
Arm Development Studio only supports 64-bit host platforms.
Arm Development Studio contains the latest versions of Arm Compiler 5 and Arm Compiler 6. The release notes for each compiler version provide information on host platform compatibility:
